Stephan Beats is a Brazilian lofi hip hop producer whose musical journey began at the age of 7 when he first started playing keyboard. His passion for video game soundtracks, particularly the iconic music from Sonic Adventure, ignited his dream of working in game audio and inspired him to learn guitar. He received his first acoustic guitar at 11 and his first electric guitar on his 12th birthday, marking the beginning of a diverse musical career.

 

In 2014, Stephan became the first student at Game Audio Academy, where he honed his skills in creating soundtracks and sound effects for video games. That same year, he joined an anime song cover band, performing at major events including Anime Summer, Anime Friends, Campinas Anime Festival, and Jundiai Anime Festival. He had the opportunity to open for renowned Japanese rock bands such as Asian Kung-Fu Generation, BACK-ON, and Flow, and shared the stage with Snowkel.

 

Since 2016, Stephan has been professionally working in game audio, and in 2018, he collaborated with Rafael Langoni and Thiago Adamo on projects for Globo, Brazil's largest television network.

 

In 2019, while searching for music to study and relax to, Stephan discovered the Lofi Girl channel and was captivated by how lofi hip hop helped people concentrate, relax, and sleep. Inspired to provide the same experience through his own music, he began releasing lofi tracks and has since worked with respected labels including Lofi Brasil, Beatmology, and Elevarte Music. He has also released music independently and collaborated with artists such as Collectively Alone, Moonsailor, flashygoodness, and Thiago Adamo.

 

Through his work as Stephan Beats, he continues to create atmospheric soundscapes that blend his game audio background with the chill, contemplative essence of lofi hip hop.​
